biographyJulia Kitonis is a dramaturg and educator originally from Vermont, USA, currently living and working in London. She holds a B.A. with Honors in Theatre from the University of Vermont and an M.A. in Dramaturgy and Writing for Performance from the University of London Goldsmiths. Julia is also a recipient of the George B. Bryant Award for Excellence in Theatre Scholarship from the University of Vermont.
Julia's work, both creative and critical, examines human histories, particularly those which are marginalised and/or under-represented. She is interested in theatre as a medium for the exploration of the past's echos in our lives today, and brings a foundation of research and expertise in Genocide Studies, Queer History, and Disability Theory to that work. |
